The path to the ruins (suitable for pushchairs, bikes and wheelchairs) is 1 km/0.6 miles each way.


The Cafe and Farm Shop are open 9am-5pm daily.

From the car park, take the path ahead of you, passing polo fields on your left. Continue on this path all the way to the ruins. The path is flat, lightly sandy underfoot and quite bumpy in places.  

A bridge over the River Rother is located opposite the ruins and is a great spot for a game of Pooh Sticks. For those travelling on foot, there is also the option of taking a short walk along the river bank - see map for suggested circuit.

The route is suitable for dogs, provided they are kept under control.

A farm shop and cafe, located in a beautiful courtyard setting, can be found adjacent to the car park.
