Bramber's Norman castle (1073), is perched high on a hill overlooking the River Adur. The one surviving wall of the tower, stands at 14 metres high and provides a glimpse of how imposing the castle once was.

The castle is located behind St Nicholas church, a 300 m walk from the village car park. Turn right out of the car park, heading up The Street. Steps and an uneven surface make this activity unsuitable for wheels.
Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead.
