You can access the beach directly from the car park, or take a short walk across the dunes on wooden walkways. There is no promenade here, just beach to explore.*

The pebble beach gives way to expansive flat golden sand as the tide recedes. It is an absolute paradise for dogs, who are welcome year round.

On a fine day you could happily spend a relaxing day here. Find a spot to enjoy a picnic or try the West Beach Cafe.

Public toilets are located adjacent to the car park and require a 20p coin.

* Nearby East Beach (across the River Arun) is more of a resort beach, with a promenade and sand at low tide click here to find out more.
