The reservoirs can be found at the northern end of the park (known as Old Roar Gill). The lower park contains all the features you would traditionally expect of a large park, including an adventure playground, boating lake, formal flower and rose gardens, bandstand and cafe. A water thoroughfare links the ponds and reservoirs around the park and there are large lawns for playing and enjoying a picnic.

On a nice day, it would be easy to spend most of the day here.

Toilet facilities can be found in the lower park (see map)

Dogs are welcome, however they must be kept on a lead in the lower park area.
