Walking possible all day, every day.
The walk begins on leaving the Forest Centre. Turn left immediately and walk downhill parallel to an earth bank and ditch on the left. After about 150m, you will see the next way marker, pointing right.
Much of the walk is along wide grassy rides. Whilst these can become waterlogged after periods of significant rainfall, they are generally dry and mud-free. When we visited (early March) some of the paths in the wooded areas were quite muddy.
Dogs are welcome and may be off-lead, provided they are under close control, in sight and come back when called. If you are not totally confident of your dog's recall, use a lead. Please pick up after your dog.
Toilet facilities are located within the Visitor Centre complex and mirror the opening times of the Centre - see website for details.
In our opinion, this walk is not suitable for pushchairs.
