A stunning long sandy beach (around 2 miles) backed by high dunes. The beach here is spectacular at any time of year and children will love playing in the dunes.

  • Frolic in the dunes

  • Play ball games on the sand

  • Fly a kite

  • Beach comb for shells

  • Heaven for dogs (Oct-Apr)

  • Can you spot the shipwreck that only becomes visible at low tide?

Camber Sands beach operates a wristband system to assist in reuniting lost children. Please visit the coastal office or speak to beach patrol.

Refreshments can be purchased from the cafe/cafeteria, located at the top of the beach, beside the car park.

There are summer (Good Friday to the first Sunday in October) and winter parking tarrifs. Please note that in summer there is a sharp increase in parking charges beyond 3 hours.

In our opinion Camber is well-worth a visit, even if you are an hour or more away. Camber Sands is a 10-minute drive from the charming (and historic) town of Rye.
