Walking over the rolling chalk grassland of the South Downs, the terrain is steep in places (particularly on the longer route) but remains relatively mud-free year round. The route passes through access land and is therefore not suitable for cyclists.
Dogs are welcome here, but must be kept on a lead around grazing livestock. There are two stiles on the longer route, both with dog gates.
Please note the car park is fairly small. Alternative on-street parking can be found a short distance away in Bexhill Road.
