What to See:
Gull Island: Aimed at younger children (under 8's) this popular, beach-themed wooden playground has plenty of sand and a lovely big grassy slope for 'rolly pollying' down. A great cafe overlooks the playground, with both indoor and outdoor seating.
During the summer months the adjacent 'Splash Pad' wet-play area has fountains for children to splash and cool down in. It is open 10am-1.30pm & 2.30-6pm. A giant sand pit (aimed at the youngest of children) can also be found at the top of the beach (in front of Gull Island).
Worthing Pier: The beautifully maintained pier was awarded 'pier of the year 2019'. Walk to the end (293 m) for great views of the off-shore wind farm and Worthing seafront.
The Perch on the Pier restaurant (sister to the popular Lancing & Eastbourne venues) is a great place for a bite to eat.
Dogs are permitted on the pier, however cycling is not allowed.
Waterwise Playground: Located on the promenade in West Worthing, this pirate-themed adventure playground is primarily aimed at older children. It is a 20-30 minute walk from the pier (or faster by bike/scooter). There is also free on-street parking on the promenade nearby.
