Awesome Animal Adventures in Sussex!

Indulge your child's love of animals with a visit to one of our awesome animal adventures! Like all of the activities on I Spy Fun there are no admission charges - leaving you with money in your pocket to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake while the children play!

Raystede - Ringmer, Near Lewes, East Sussex

A fabulous place to visit with children, Raystede is a charity which rescues, shelters, rehomes and provides sanctuary to a wide range of unwanted and abandoned animals. The modern well-laid-out site enables children to meet cats, dogs, goats, sheep, horses, donkeys, rabbits, tortoises, chickens, turkeys and waterfowl to name but a few!

What it's Great For:​

* Discovery walk - clearly signposted and dog friendly!

* Feed the ducks and geese on the lakes with corn (provided free of charge)

* Unique children's play area - can you climb like a cat, burrow like a gerbil or balance like a goat?

National Cat Centre - Near Haywards Heath, West Sussex

Set amidst delightful woodland in the heart of the Ashdown forest, a visit to the stunning new National Cat Centre is a fantastic chance for the whole family to meet the gorgeous cats and kittens awaiting their forever homes.

​What it's Great For:

* Explore the nature trail (2km) - can you find the fairy circle and enchanted village?

* Discover a range of wildlife, including donkeys and rare Hebridean sheep

* Great cafe and Visitor Centre - children's craft available 10am-1pm daily (£1 per child)

Sharnfold Farm - Stone Cross, Near Eastbourne, E. Sussex

A great place to visit with younger children throughout the year, Sharnfold has a farm trail and a play area too. The farm has become a popular meeting place for families. ​


​What it's Great For:

* See the animals on the farm trail. In the summer months all the farm animals are out in the fields including pigs, donkeys, lambs, cattle, goats, chickens and rabbits

* Spacious play area, suitable for younger children
