Sussex Scooter Adventures!

If your children whinge at the mere suggestion of a walk then this week we have the perfect alternative - six brilliant scooter adventures!

Ultra-smooth paths are perfect for young riders - ideal for scooting, pushing or balance biking and the routes are great for little-walkers too. Exploring the great outdoors with the kids has never been easier!

Rye Harbour - Rye Harbour Village, Rye, East Sussex

Voted Britain's favourite nature reserve (2016), Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is a beautiful Site of Special Scientific Interest with perfect paths for 2-wheel exploration!

What it's Great For:​

* Famous for its bird life, use the accessible hides and boards to spot and

   identify the huge variety of species

* Watch the fishing boats come into the harbour

Seven Sisters Country Park - Exceat, Near Seaford, East Sussex

Simply stunning! Following the meandering river Cuckmere, the flat, concrete track is ideal for cycling, scooting and pushing.

* Dramatic chalk cliffs

* Skim stones on the beach and paddle in the sea

The Undercliff Walk - Access from Brighton Marina

Running from Brighton Marina to Saltdean (just over 5 km) the wide, flat path lies beneath wonderful white chalk cliffs beside the sea. A great option whatever the weather.

​What it's Great For:

* Watch the hustle and bustle of the marina and busy boat yard 

* Fantastic rock pooling beaches 

* Snack kiosks and toilets en route

Worthing Seafront - Worthing, West Sussex

This promenade is wide and open with far-reaching views. Ideal for 2-wheeled explorers and plenty to entertain en route - all free of charge!

* Frolic on the sand (revealed at low-tide)

A really original, fun and family-friendly way of exploring the heart of this historic city centre. The smooth tree-lined trail runs along the top of the 7-metre high Roman walls!

Alexandra Park - Hastings, East Sussex

This enormous, yet beautiful Victorian park spans 2.8 km end to end(!) yet getting around couldn't be easier on the extensive network of smooth, scootable paths.
