Set high on a hill, the picture-perfect town of Arundel is a popular tourist destination, famous for its huge medieval castle and Roman Catholic cathedral. There is plenty of free fun to discover here...
Explore the High Street with it's wonderful independent shops; head to the top of the town to discover the 19th century cathedral, taking in the amazing castle views en route; take a leisurely stroll along the banks of the river Arun and feed the ducks at crystal clear Swanbourne lake. The more adventurous may even wish to explore some of Arundel Park's 1,200 acres of glorious open downland.
Arundel (in the county of West Sussex) has a population of around 3,500 and is located approximately equidistant between the towns of Chichester (22 min by car) and Worthing (26 min). A direct rail service connects Arundel with London Bridge station, journeys take approximately 90 minutes.
