Free Places to Visit in & Around Bognor Regis

The traditional seaside town of Bognor Regis in the county of West Sussex is perhaps best known for being home to a Butlins resort! Located 7 miles east of Littlehampton and 7 miles south-east of Chichester, there are plenty of free, family-friendly things to do in and around the town.
 
- Younger children will love getting creative at Beach on the Beach - a huge sandpit and play park, located on the East Beach promenade. Just a short walk from stunning Hotham Park, with its Alice in Wonderland sculpture trail.
- Discover the heart of the nearby historic city of Chichester in a fun and unique way on the fantastic City Walls Trail. Not only is it a family-friendly way of exploring the city, it's totally free too! Visit the stunning 11th century cathedral (entry by donation) and learn about Chichester's Roman history at the Novium Museum (free entry). 
- Frolic on the sand dunes at nearby West Beach or hop over the River Arun to discover lovely Littlehampton! 
-Explore the picture-perfect town of Arundel. Set high on a hill, the town is a popular tourist destination with its medieval castle and cathedral. It also has a very pretty boating lake (Swanbourne Lake) which is a great place to walk with the kids.
 
Bognor Regis has a population of around 25,000. Trains to Chichester (via Barnham) take 24 min. Journeys to Brighton by train take approximately an hour.
