Free Places to Visit in & Around Crowborough

Crowborough (in the county of East Sussex) is situated on the edge of the Ashdown Forest, in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Famously home to Winnie the Pooh, the Forest is a protected open heathland habitat comparable to the New Forest. Crowborough has a population of around 21,000. The town is located 7 miles south-west of Royal Tunbridge Wells and 35 miles south of London. A direct train links Crowborough with London Bridge (1hr 10 min) and Uckfield (12 min).
